This 1 day training course forms part of GXO Change’s “Making Sense” Series of training programs. “Making Sense of Portfolio Management” is aimed at anyone involved or interested in the portfolio management of projects and programs, including anyone who might work in a portfolio, program or project management office.
![]() This course provides an overview of the latest thinking in portfolio management. It covers the purpose of portfolio management and links between program and project management in an organisation. It also covers a range of techniques used in managing portfolios, along with the different roles that are likely to be required in a typical portfolio structure. It is deliberately delivered in a teaching style that is aimed at making portfolio management meaningful to any current project or program management activity that may be (or become) part of an overarching portfolio of change. Students attending this course should expect to understand the key concepts to portfolio management and use this knowledge to inform their current project or program management or organisational governance activities. This short course is a good pre-cursor for more detailed Portfolio, Program and Project Offices (P3O®*) training and certification later on.
In-house training![]() Please enquire about in-house training at these locations and anywhere in New Zealand and Australia. * P3O® is a registered Trade Mark of the Office of Government Commerce
